Hi. I'm Rafael @vianarafaelds Viana 🤟
Short Bio
I started my journey working in factories, construction sites, call centers, and kitchens across Japan. When my first venture—a food truck business—didn’t take off, I pivoted to tech, starting from scratch.
Over the years, I’ve transitioned from tech support, to coder, and now to project manager, focusing on applying small, deliberate experiments to create a positive impact in the land of the rising sun.
Career
Bootcamp graduate turned senior software developer, and now a project manager.
I’ve led projects, won over clients, and made an impact for my employers, which has opened up new opportunities.
Oh, and I wrote a book on IT communication, so now I get to play translator and strategist, helping teams align on common goals.
Why This Blog?
I’ve often been impulsive in my approach, jumping headfirst into projects. But I aim to become a more disciplined builder and storyteller by testing assumptions, iterating on what works, and scrapping what doesn’t.
As I transition from coding to managing projects, this blog is where I document my ongoing experiments with Scrum, project leadership, and building things—sometimes tech, sometimes life.
